Can you still help with my case?

A:

Yes – along with my team, I am continuing to make representations on behalf of constituents. You can contact me by emailing helen.hayes.mp@parliament.uk or calling 0207 219 6971. At this time, we have a great deal of additional work as a result of Covid-19, much of it urgent and time critical and we are having to prioritise these cases.  Please bear with me if we take a little longer than usual to respond on issues which are not time critical.

I have recently started my face to face advice surgeries across the constituency on a strict appointment basis.  At this time, when coronavirus cases are increasing in our community, contacting me by email or telephone is by far the safest thing to do, and the vast majority of cases can be progressed in this way.  We always give the same priority to cases received by email, telephone, post and at surgeries. For constituents who need to be seen in person, I am able to offer a limited number of appointments and we have put in place strict precautions to maintain social distancing and keep both my team and constituents safe. We are reviewing these arrangements on a weekly basis and may need to stop again if the coronavirus restrictions change. If you need a surgery appointment, please email or telephone explaining why your case cannot be progressed by email or telephone.
